Sensible co-ordination of services and effective utilisation of space is an intrinsic part of the design and construction process and if neglected will lead to additional contract costs and delays in the construction programme.

An accurate and detailed appraisal of the complete M&E design intent will influence the installation programme, avoid the majority of service clashes, obviate any practical site problems and consider the  maintenance of plant and equipment. The provision of good site record drawings and subsequent production of installation drawings provide a sound basis for the implementation of design changes and correct operating and maintenance manuals.
